They have Frankenberry, Boo Berry, and Count Chocula at Smith's for 99 cents a box. Not sure if there is a coupon or not. Still a good deal.

Shopping today

So I just got back from Smith's and Albertson's. I spent about the same amount in both stores but you should see the difference in quantity.

Smith's

2 gal milk 3.38
1 gal OJ 2.00
6 lbs of butter 10.00
2.4 lbs of apples 2.40
valentine bulk candy for potty treats for Kolby 1.89
Smith's brand salad dressing 2.49
Playtex tampons 6.49-1.00 coupon
mini carrots 1.00

Total 30.43

Albertson's

#1 trans
5 BC fruit snacks 10.00-2.00 coupon
5 Nature valley granola bars 12.50-2.00 coupons

But I spent 20 so I saved 5 instantly, I had another $5 coupon from last week, so it came to 22.50-4.00(coupons)-5.00(instant savings)-5.00(catalina from prev. purchase)=8.50+tax=9.55. Then because I had purchased 5 fruit snack it printed out a $3.50 coupon to use on next purchase. And because I had purchased 5 boxes of granola bars, it also triggered a $3.50 catalina.

#2

2 muffin mix 5.00-.80 coupon
2 supreme brownie mix 5.00-1.00 coupon
8 boxes cereal 20.00-3.50 coupons
4 tubs of frosting 4.00-2.00 coupons
3 enchilada sauce 3.00
2 lbs of butter 3.58
1 cantelope 1.85

Total was around $43.00. Just noticed I counted items wrong. I needed to have gotten something for $3.00 more. Shoot...I should have gotten an additional $10.00 off but I got $5.00 and used my two $3.50 from previous trans. plus coupons totaling $7.30 so my total was 25.38. I think I will call and see if I can fix it. Bummer.

**Note** I did call and they can fix it as long as you go right back in the store or within a few hours of purchase.

Bountiful Baskets in Poky/Chubbuck area

Hi all...I am sure you may all be wondering what I am talking about. If someone of you already know and have been able to participate than I am soooo jealous. Bountiful Baskets is a produce co-op based out of AZ. You can go to their website @ www.bountifulbaskets.org. I, along with a couple of other ladies, am working to get a site here in Feb. We just need a finalized location. To explain a little bit about it...participants contribute a share into the co-op and then produce is bought in bulk and distributed through out the co-op. I have trained in Idaho Falls 1 time and am so excited. They got so much for their money. If you want to see examples of what I am talking about, go to this blog. http://thetowerblargh.blogspot.com/2009/11/bountiful-baskets.html This lady lives in Rigby and has participated since it started up there. If you have any questions please give me a call.

This weeks ads

I didn't really see anything great in this weeks ads. Albertson's does have Tillamook Cheese for 3.99/2lb brick. If you still have your cheese coupon that would be a good deal. Also they have Kellogg's products on sale with an in-ad coupon. Smith's still has their case lot sale going on. They also have their cottage cheese, sour cream, and dips for 1.00 They also have their Pillsbury rolls on sale for 1.00. These can be paired with coupons too.

Shopping today

I found a good deal on someone's blog or maybe PYP that Winco had going on right now.
So I rushed up there and found Poky's had it too. They have their 3 lb bag of frozen chicken for 3.98. That's a really good price. I usually like to get the fresh stuff but I can handle frozen for that price. They also had 4 types of Crystal Light for 1.98. Wish I had taken a coupon for that. Fuji apples were 88 cents/lb. Cucumbers were 48 cents and they had lots of peppers for I think 58 cents. I am trying to get better at my menu planning so I did get a couple of things for some recipes I can make out of my basic food storage.

Then I ran over to Albies to use some more doubles. I got Yoplait Yoplus for 12 cents and some more cereal for under a dollar. I used catalinas I got from last week and still brought home $10 more in catalinas. I got 6 boxes of cereal, 5 fruit snacks, a thing of cheese, 12 progresso soup, 4 yoplus, 2 bags of cookies(bakery) all for 20.00.
